The life care plan is used as a guideline for settlement of damage claims out of court or as an educational tool in the courtroom to inform the jury of the degree of disability and the cost of life time care for the individual. The life care plan is also utilized to coordinate the identified services for the client after a damage settlement has occurred. The life care plan may also be utilized by families and health care funders as a case management document for the coarse of the disability or illness.
